Dr. Matthew A. Bridges’ Background and Qualifications
A Wisconsin native who grew up in Louisiana, Dr. Bridges earned a bachelor’s degree in biology and a medical degree from the University of Virginia. He went on to complete a residency in otolaryngology at the Virginia Community University School of Medicine.
Dr. Bridges’ interest in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery evolved during his four years at the Langley and Keesler Air Force Base medical centers, where he practiced otolaryngology. During his last year of Air Force duty alone, he performed more than 50 rhinoplasties.
After being honorably discharged from the Air Force at the rank of major, Dr. Bridges completed a highly competitive residency in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery. Following the fellowship, he applied this residency experience to his current practice.
